Acanthus unique, bespoke jewellery and art work.

The structural beauty of the Acanthus leaf and the magical colours of the Peacock’s tail have inspired artists and designers since ancient times; especially in the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau movements. The legacy of these times, with their emphasis on story, flowing, organic natural forms, handcrafting skills and quality of design, is a great source of inspiration.

Acanthus:

IconUse Karen Silver. Apart from being of the highest quality, we understand that buying these products supports traditional silversmiths in Thailand providing a sustainable income.

iconPrefer to use recycled paper and products. The beautiful boxes you will receive your jewellery in are made of cardboard not plastic, making them more environmentally friendly.

iconSupport British artists and business. Many of our handmade glass beads are commissioned or sourced from British lampwork artists; supporting the growth of artistic skill and small business ventures within Britain. Buying British also cuts air miles and the pollution that causes.

iconAlways seek to create lasting jewellery of high quality, which its wearer will enjoy and be admired in for many years.

iconThe silver we use.
Acanthus jewellery rarely uses plated metal. Our silver is Sterling silver (bought as such and mostly marked 925), Bali Silver or Hill Tribe silver. Silver must be sent to an Assay Office and hallmarked as containing at least 92.5% silver to be classified as ‘sterling’. Bali beads are not hallmarked but are of equivalent quality. Hill Tribe silver contains up to 99% silver but is not marked.
